Trocasec Exchange Market:
It is an exchange network where we collaborate with residents of the Poble Sec neighborhood. We work as a committee in the Poble Sec Neighborhood Assembly. The Trocasec Commission of the Poble Sec District Assembly was approved on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. However, Trocasec is a participatory process that began in 2009 within the framework of the Coexistence Commission of the Poble Sec. Community plan for the Poble Sec neighborhood, organized at the beginning of 2010 as a self-managed space for residents of Poble Sec interested in promoting coexistence, mutual knowledge and sustainability in the neighborhood. The mission is to consolidate a meeting point for residents, associations and other entities in the Poble Sec neighborhood to exchange goods, services and knowledge, without using euros. Values ​​are based on sustainability, cooperation, reciprocity, solidarity and recognition of unpaid activities. The aim is to encourage alternative modes of consumption that involve reusing objects, avoiding excessive and unsustainable consumerism, waste, generating less waste and thus promoting the protection of the environment. Promote more egalitarian production and consumption, without the need to use money, where the value of use is prioritized over exchange value. Extend and strengthen existing solidarity and cooperation ties in the neighborhood. This means giving the opportunity to trust others in order to meet the needs of everyday life.
