The Banc de Recursos Mancomunats de Ciutat Vella (BRMCV) is a collaborative and community project focused on promoting sustainability, solidarity and efficiency in the use of resources within the Ciutat Vella district. It is an initiative that connects social, cultural, educational and community entities to share, reuse and optimize available resources, reducing waste and promoting a circular economy. The 4 main axes of the BRMCV:
Services: The BRMCV offers support services to entities, such as the loan of materials to organize activities, events or community projects. This allows access to resources without the need for purchase, optimizing costs and encouraging collaboration.
Pooling: It is based on making available materials that an entity does not need on an ongoing basis, so that other entities can use them when they require them. This promotes the efficient use of resources, avoiding the accumulation or waste of equipment.
Reuse Network: This axis promotes the redistribution of materials that are no longer needed by some entities but that can have a second life in other contexts. This includes furniture, electronic equipment, school supplies, clothing, etc., which are disseminated through a community loudspeaker.
Training: Training is carried out for neighborhood entities and groups with the aim of improving skills in resource management, promoting sustainable practices, the circular economy and community solidarity.
