The Hort de la Lola group or Community Garden of the Jardins Montserrat was formed in May 2019, after a long time on the part of Casal de Joves Queix claiming some gardens in the same park. Now it's a reality and the house manages the garden located behind the Espai Associatiu Lola Anglada , touching with Corsica. The driving group was promoted by the Casal de Joves Queix, but from day 1 it is open to the whole neighborhood, it is autonomous and has an assembly and it is a large group of residents of the Esquerra de l'Eixample that decides what happens and how it works this space won. There is no age limit, anyone can participate following the operation decided in the open assemblies. It is a community, ecological and assembly garden. This project has a composting area, a vermicomposting area, an insect hotel and the installation of a solidarity refrigerator #NeveraSolidària to fight against food waste, and where anyone in the neighborhood can leave or take food in good state of conservation, also from the garden.
