Green Building Council España is an independent organization affiliated with the International Association greater importance on issues of sustainability in the building, nonprofit "World Green Building Council." GBCe is the Spanish chapter of WGBC, recognized since 2009 as Established in Council. And this is the Working Group GBCe Catalonia.
GBCe main mission is to act to transform the market toward a more sustainable building. In this mission GBCe wants to be:

- Accelerator of the change process
- Facilitation of efforts by industry players working with the same objective.
- Meeting point of all of them.
- Spokesperson from civil society, the ideas and proposals for sustainability in construction.

And so the main objectives are:

- Contribute to market transformation towards a more sustainable building.
- Provide society instruments to support environmental assessment and design of buildings and neighborhoods.
- Promote the education of parameters associated with sustainability and, in particular, aspects relating to the environment.
- Open new avenues of research on the building in Spain from the perspective of sustainability.
