The Associació Cultural i Recreativa la Pau (ACR La Pau) is a project that was built in 1983, with the hope that the boys and girls of the La Pau district of Barcelona have a place where they can enjoy and do activities at affordable prices for their families. With a lot of effort and without ever losing enthusiasm, this dream has come true and even exceeded all expectations. This success that the ACR la Pau has achieved is thanks to all those people who believed in the project and who still believe and collaborate today. We have managed to ensure that the boys and girls and almost everyone have a space to go in their free time to have fun and with friends, colleagues, family and neighbors.

Over the years, we have achieved different distinctions both individually and in groups, but the most important thing is not the awards that the ACR has been able to achieve but the fact that, together, we have managed to make a dream a reality where everyone we are a big family.

The Casal del Barrio La Pau, wants to respond to the needs and demands of the residents of the neighborhood, in a participatory and inclusive way working in a network with other facilities, entities and groups; offering spaces and activities where exchange, creation, volunteering and participation between neighbors are encouraged.
The portfolio of services includes the following basic services: reception service for citizens, meeting space, transfer of spaces, rental of spaces, volunteer promotion service, support service for residents' initiatives, groups and entities, service of celebrations and traditions, and services of sociocultural, formative and leisure activities like:

Maintenance gymnastics
Gymnastics for the elderly

Street-dance

Among the community and social activities with other entities, we highlight: collaboration with FEMAREC, with the Area of Alternative Criminal Measures, Fundació Joia, "Smiling Children" Campaign, the Karate Championship, and the spaces: "El barrio de mi home "," We take care of ourselves in the neighborhood "," EnREDAndo "and" The Community Team "

Residents of the neighborhood are participating in the urban garden project on the roof of the neighborhood house. This project aims to take care of the urban garden of the Casal La Pau-Piramidón, planting and harvesting vegetables. Through these activities, an educational project open to everyone is built around recycling, sustainability and caring for the environment.
