Department of Health Design and Engineering of Barcelona is a university founded in 1961 and is the oldest school in the teaching of design in Spain. ELISAVA is among the 100 best schools of design and architecture in Europe according to the magazine Domus.

Attached to the University Pompeu Fabra (UPF), ELISAVA has 2,000 students from around the world who are studying official Degree in Design, Engineering Degree in Industrial Design and a wide range of masters and postgraduate courses linked with several areas: Design and Graphic Communication, Product Design, Space Design and Architecture and Design, Strategy and Management.
