Located in the Modernist Precinct of the Hospital de Sant Pau, the "Casa Convalescència-UAB" Pavilion is managed by the Autonomous University of Barcelona. It is the headquarters of the UAB Foundation, UAB Idiomes Barcelona, the Health and Aging Foundation, Study Abroad UAB and the UAB Institute of Education Sciences, among others.
The building has a wide range of spaces for organizing congresses, conventions, meetings, seminars, courses, and other events. Fully equipped with the necessary services and materials, it also has a restaurant-cafeteria and catering service.

Casa Convalescència is working on developing an action plan around different areas related to sustainability:

- Advice to its users on the organization of more sustainable events, in line with the good practices included in the “Guide to the most sustainable conferences”, prepared by the Environment Office of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and published by the Barcelona City Council.

- “Green Office”: adaptation of offices and offices to improve their contribution to the environment with the aim of obtaining the environmental quality mark of the Generalitat de Catalunya in the category of office and service buildings

- Actions related to corporate responsibility by workers and users.

- Project to recover the main garden with sustainable criteria that favors the conservation of urban biodiversity, that can be part of environmental education activities and where correct waste management is carried out.
