Rambla de Catalunya, 10The Associació Catalana de Comunicació Científica (ACCC) was established in 1990 as a professional organization that brings together scientific communicators, specialized journalists, scientists, disseminators and editors from the Catalan field with an interest in communicating scientific information in written and audiovisual media.
The ACCC's main objective is to promote, disseminate, expand and improve scientific communication in Catalan-speaking countries. It also wants to influence the social and political aspects of scientific information, while ensuring that it contributes to social progress.
Another priority goal of the ACCC is to facilitate the ongoing training of its associates and encourage debate and self-criticism among communicators of science, technology and innovation.
