The sustainability ethic

Pompeu Fabra University is committed to promoting sustainability ethic in all its actions.
To understand sustainability ethic that combines long-term sustainable economic development with the ethical, social justice and environmental protection. In this sense, it can be said that a system is financially sustainable when it does not exhaust the funds to finance it; socially sustainable when it does not lead to social conflict and ecologically sustainable environment where it can absorb pollution and renew natural resources without depleting them. The ethical sustainability includes economic, social and environmental, without limiting it. Besides being global is not justified solely by the selfish interests of a group, but also a moral obligation to respect the interests of other people, generations and species with which we share the planet.

Based on these principles, Pompeu Fabra University has adopted a sustainability policy that guides all actions in this field.
