Refarmthecity.org is a collective project that aims to develop tools analog and digital open source, both software and hardware for urban farmers seeking a balance between city and environment; the use of energy, materials and waste, food production, doing experiments and measuring results to spread knowledge and redirect them to the benefit of the environment.
The project moves in the space between a good food (harvest seeds, friendships), hardware (the urban garden, the compost, the electronic sensors, recycled materials) and one or more software ( applications that help build a garden as needs and local cuisine).
Re: farm wants to provide people with tools that facilitate the creation, maintenance and monitoring of their own gardens. Its aim is to encourage the production and consumption of local products, using methods that respect the environment and promoting organic agriculture, science, biodiversity and local food.
The group has worked hard and has a modest number of sensors and controllers ready to be played, while other components (such as software) are under development.
