
The PAA is a non-profit organization created in early 2014 that brings together people and organizations that promote a culture of food utilization.
In February 2014, they publicly presented the ENOUGH FOOD WASTE manifesto and, as the star action of the year, organized the Gran Dinar Barcelona, a major awareness campaign against food waste.
Its objectives:
1. Raise awareness and educate society about the problem of food waste, while promoting training in the proper handling and use of food at all stages of the food chain and in households.
2. Support research and innovation aimed at the full utilization of food.
3. Improve and make more transparent the information on the use of food and food waste.
4. Promote regulatory changes and legal certainty that favors the use of food, while guaranteeing its healthiness.
5. Promote economic and fiscal measures aimed at preventing losses, wastage and waste of food in accordance with the waste management hierarchy.
6. Facilitate the donation of food and refreshments to social action organizations and disadvantaged groups.
7. Collaborate in reducing food waste by half by 2025, in line with the resolution of the European Parliament of 19 January 2012.
