This point of interest is part of the Endinsa't al bosc itinerary, which links art and nature activities of the Desperta, Art i natura project in the city of Barcelona #despertabarcelona . We invite you to enjoy it and get to know the Turull Forest through the 6 points and the 6 video capsules. We accompany you to discover this space, and to inspire you to create a work of art.
5. Life patterns
At this point I stop and watch something small fly and enter a hut, an insect hotel .
We discover a space where small beings live but so necessary for nature, to pollinate and to make possible the life cycle as well.
Among the stones I see piled up next to me, I see a head, it’s a little dragon. This reptile refuge is a fantastic hideaway, and at the same time a good place to climb in the sun.
The trunks of trees have marks, some made by nature itself, such as insects or fungi.
And when I look up I see birds, making use of the canteens, or the nest boxes, when it is time to nest.
We can imagine what happens in Turull. What do insects, reptiles, birds and other animals that live in this forest do? Where do they sleep? Do they live all year here? What do they do at night when we don’t see them?
In the Turull Forest there are many lives, which if you stop calmly, you will be able to observe them.
The place where they live, their homes, where they eat… are patterns of life.
And all too often we have been inspired by their homes, to build and create.
When you finish the itinerary, if you are inspired and make a creation, we invite you to share it in a story or photograph from the point of the map, and on the networks tagging on instagram @desperta_artinatura@animal_latitude@boscturull and with the tag #desperta_artinatura #mapabarcelonamessostenible
The video was recorded in the months of May and June 2021, so depending on the time of year you can be inspired by different elements of this point.
