La Muntanya Pelada is a place in the Collserola mountains where butterflies and dragonflies can be seen, among other insects. Thistles, an abundant plant in the area, make the Migradora thistle butterfly (Vanesa cardui ) present. Other butterflies observed are the Brown of the meadows ( Maniola jurtina ) , the Atalanta ( Vanessa atalanta ) , the common Margenera ( Lasiommata megera ) . The dragonfly called Striated Pixavi (Sympetrum strolatium ) has also been observed. This hill is oriented to the northwest and the sun is shining in the afternoon, which makes the insects feel good.
