The Gremi de Peixaters de Catalunya is a regional, non-profit organisation, established for an indefinite period and with its registered office in Barcelona.

Its members are fishmongers from Municipal Markets and shops throughout Catalonia and it was founded more than 90 years ago.

At the head of this Entity is the Board of Directors, which in a disinterested way,
oversees the good functioning of the association, and among others its main purpose is to:

- Represent its members, contributing to the defense and promotion of their professional, labor, economic, social and cultural interests, both individual and collective.
- Foster the solidarity of affiliates by promoting and creating common services of an assistance nature.
- Schedule appropriate actions to achieve social and economic improvements for its members.
- Maintain the necessary contact, dealing with other like-minded organizations from any territorial area, in order to provide mutual collaboration in professional matters that benefit the association and its associates.
