The source of the Machinist is known as "Estany Narcís Monturiol" (he was a Spanish intellectual engineer, politician and inventor). It was inaugurated in the year 2,000 and was the work of Juan Fernando Mendoza. The fountain is located in the old train factory that was built in 1855.
