The La Verneda de Sant Martí nursery school, as its name suggests, is located in the La Verneda neighborhood.
There are six classrooms in the school. The groups of children are distributed by calendar year.
Children's play and daily activities mark the organization of educational work.
The course schedule is closely linked to the seasons of the year.
The distribution of the school's spaces favors the relationship and joint meetings of children of different ages, and makes possible proposals such as "open doors" in the classrooms, and workshops. The playground and the hall are also areas that favor exchange and interrelation beyond the classroom and the tutor of reference.

Taking advantage of the resources of the environment as a pedagogical tool for learning about the natural and social environment closest to them, older children go on outings to different places in the neighborhood, following and observing their interests from the classrooms throughout the course.
A relationship based on trust and respect is established with families, and work is done to continue seeking strategies for participation and collaboration in the school's educational work.

Within the Schools + Sustainable program, the school recycling project has begun and continues with the project "A Mediterranean patio, a garden of experiences", with the aim of making the patio more than just a space for recreation and movement, a space to have live contact with nature (vegetation, animals...).

One of the school's challenges is to advance and consolidate networking, together with other services and entities that provide care for young children in the district.
