
The Association of Biologists of Catalonia (CBC) is a corporation under public law that establishes the meeting point for Biology professionals with mandatory registration to practice the profession.
It is an institution that adapts to the new times to be able to offer its members the training, advice and services they need to develop their profession today.
To protect and represent the profession and the professional interests of the members, in front of the administration and society.
Adapt the profession to the needs of society.
Be present in the creation of regulations that affect the profession.
All graduates in Biology, and those with official degrees that accredit a substantial common core with the biology degree, can be members of the CBC (graduates/graduates in Environmental Biology, Human Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Marine Sciences, Genetics , Microbiology, etc.. who want to exercise the profession given that membership is mandatory to exercise as such, with the exception of public officials and other personnel who, by virtue of their employment contract, provide their services in public administrations .
Students of the aforementioned degrees can also pre-college during the last years of their studies to enjoy the College's services.
The area where the College of Biologists of Catalonia has exclusive powers is the Autonomous Community of Catalonia. It is a signatory Entity of the Citizen Commitment for Sustainability
