The Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, with more than 100 years of history, is a public health center relevant to the city of Barcelona, Catalonia and the world, with a clear desire for excellence in its three main areas of action: assistance, research and teaching. Hospital Clínic de Barcelona is a public consortium formed by the Generalitat de Catalunya (CatSalut) and the University of Barcelona. The Clínic is a community hospital for its area of influence, Barcelona Esquerra, with a population of 540,000 inhabitants and, at the same time, it is a highly complex tertiary hospital that develops lines of activity for patients from Catalonia, mainly of the Vallès Oriental and Osona areas and, in certain specific procedures for patients from other Communities in Spain.
