Cíclica is a cooperative founded by architects and young research professionals that offers architectural, urban planning and landscape services with the aim of achieving environmental balance and social equity, providing solutions that systemically integrate three areas:
architecture, community and environment. The convergence of these three elements is essential to generate responses to current global challenges: climate change, the resource crisis, energy poverty and the problems of social exclusion in the city.
The development process of any project must be carried out from its trans-scalar understanding -from the building to the territory-, considering all the resources involved in the environmental field -energy, water, materials and organic matter-, and through the participation and incorporation of the user community in decision-making.
For this reason, Cíclica focuses on promoting a change of vision on the environment based on the participatory action-research methodology, that is, applied research based on the inclusion of users in the project process, ensuring social transformation towards a systemic and conscious look at the environment.
The city can never be sustainable, but it is society that can be. That is why it is necessary to intervene both in the urban space and in the territory and in the community that inhabits it.
