The Cooperativa Carbó Viu was born with the purpose of promoting and improving environmental, social and economic sustainability through products and services that promote the reuse and revaluation of all types of biomass for the production of biocarbon ( BIOCHAR ), thus promoting the circular economy and taking advantage of these processes to promote the social inclusion of vulnerable groups.

Last November they were selected to develop the project " Sustainable biocarbon network: promoting a new model of social and circular economy for the sustainability of the cooperative fabric and the rural environment " in the framework of Singular Projects of the Generalitat de Catalunya .

Among the objectives of the project is to make known, what is biochar, what benefits it brings and how to use it effectively and sustainably in different areas and contexts. That is why they organize workshops on the promotion of sustainable, local and ecological food production and consumption.
