Jaume Fuster Library, designed by the architect Josep Llinas, opened on 13 November 2005.
Named Jaume Fuster (Barcelona, 1945-1998). Writer and screenwriter, translator and an active member of the Association of Writers in Catalan, Carpenter was closely linked to the social and cultural reality of Barcelona, and gave the category of classic novel genre in Catalan.
It is the central library of the district of Gracia and serves its citizens with the Vila de Gràcia Library and the Library of Vallcarca and Penitents - M. Antonieta Cot. It is a municipal facility of proximity for sharing resources and services to enjoy access to information, culture and knowledge. Networking with other public libraries and other facilities and organizations working with the neighborhood, district and city.
The library inherited part of its collection of ancient library Antoni Capmany Julia, located since 1970 in the street of Torrent de l'Olla and closely linked to the Gracia district.
