BATEC is a socio-economic inter-cooperation project of cooperative and associative entities, which works from Barcelona to be a point of reference in the energy transition towards a sustainable, fair and democratic model promoted from the field of SSE. They understand a sustainable energy model, one that is based on respect for the environment, social justice and economic democracy; key pieces that are part of a comprehensive social change that seeks to guarantee a balance between nature and society. Where the decrease and reduction of demand in the first instance, and subsequently, the contribution of distributed renewable energies with local management and participation that bring us energy sovereignty are the main drivers.
