The Maresme Residents' Association has a long history of protest and is as old as the first blocks of flats that began to be built in 1956. The founding statutes of the AVV Maresme are not legalized until the Law of Associations of 1964. This event took place on April 21, 1964, in the assembly hall of the parish of the Sacred Heart (Peter IV, 398), with the assistance of 150 residents, all of them from the Barrio de Maresme. Until that date it had been operating for 5 years with a management committee. The first statutes were made on February 11, 1962 and the first Governing Board was formed by: Abelardo Freixa Argelès (President), Salvador Cabré Martínez (Secretary) and Agustín Hernández Martínez (Treasurer).
During this long trajectory of associative life, important community projects have been carried out, which we do not want to list because they are in everyone's memory, these improvements must spur us to give continuity to our work. The balance is positive and we must continue to improve, we do not want it to be no more merit of us, also of the whole associative movement.
