Abrazo Cultural is an association that offers language courses and cultural workshops taught by people in a situation of refuge. They promote learning through the exchange of experiences based on the culture of each teacher, creating a way of integrating that is very enriching for all. Its aim is to enhance the talents of refugees and share their knowledge with the public, breaking down prejudices and stereotypes about their cultures and countries. The concept of the project was born in Brazil, in 2014 - where it is still active - and in October 2017 we founded the association in the city of Barcelona. Barcelona is a multicultural city, which is why they need a project that promotes this connection between locals and refugees. Therefore, they want to bring information and experiential sessions to the public to break stigmas and stereotypes about refugees, helping in their integration into the city.
