The Center for Linguistic Normalization (CNL) of Barcelona, ​​decentralized and present in the different districts of the city, is the public body in charge of overseeing the facilitation of knowledge and the promotion of the use of the Catalan language in the city. It also promotes the Language Volunteer Program, which promotes the conversation between a Catalan learner and a volunteer Catalan-speaking person. The aim is to facilitate the learning of the language in real contexts in a relaxed manner and thus encourage its use.

n December 2019, as part of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Route of accessible shops and equipment in Avinyó Street and Ample Street was carried out in Ciutat Vella, from the CASBA Project (Accessible Trade Without Barriers), where he was awarded to the participating establishments, among them the Linguistic Normalization Center of Barcelona, ​​the diploma "Friendly Equipment CASBA", by his care towards the accessibility and the good treatment to the neighbors of the neighborhood.
